“In Mark Zieff’s “On the Hook Again,” 2023, presented in colored pencil on Canson paper, a well-worn denim shirt and jeans hang side by side from a double wall hook. The shadow and detail of stitching gives an incredible verisimilitude of cloth. He channeled a traditional Renaissance medium and style to capture contemporary clothes that drop hints about their owner”.
